Learn more about the MIM process here: We are currently recruiting an Accounts Payable Specialist with 3+ years of experience performing general accounting & bookkeeping duties such as routine financial tasks, A/P, A/R, basic reporting, and document retention. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Accounts payable activities, including the generation of quarterly and annual reports, and maintenance of required records. (70%) Complete assigned duties as part of the accounting close process, which may include recording journal entries, performing research and analysis, data entry and possibly assisting in report preparation. (10%) Assist in accounting and reporting activities and special projects as assigned. (10%) Perform routine tasks, basic administrative reporting, and document retention. Must pay close attention to detail and possess good organizational skills. (5%) Perform analysis and reconciliation through system queries, research, investigation of reconciling items and resolution. (5%) KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE Three or more years of general accounting & A/P experience. AS Degree in Accounting (preferred) or equivalent experience in lieu of degree Attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task Solid MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, and Excel) Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet department needs WORK CRITERIA/CONDITIONS Ability to regularly stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, talk, hear, and see. Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a manufacturing plant environment, including bump cap, hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety footwear, and any other protective equipment as required. Work is primarily located in an office setting but is occasionally required to be performed in a manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles. Weekly telecommuting opportunity. Is regularly required to walk through the manufacturing plant to the shipping department to ensure P.O.'s are received in and received correctly.
