Job Summary and Qualifications The Cardiology Nurse Specialist delivers professional nursing care to patients in our clinic, adhering to established standards and practices. With advanced knowledge in cardiac nursing, you will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning patient care. Your Responsibilities: Utilize critical thinking to assess and make quick decisions regarding patients with heart complications. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on treatment for cardiac conditions like heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmias. Interpret data and respond effectively to urgent situations to optimize patient outcomes. Analyze test results and contribute to treatment planning. Conduct and interpret various cardiac and vascular tests. Work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare providers in managing a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Participate in clinical trials and research as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records and medical histories. Prepare patients for visits and perform medication reconciliation. Educate patients on cardiovascular diseases and preventive measures. Assist in diagnostic tests and monitor patients’ vitals. Make timely decisions for emergency medical procedures. Ensure a smooth flow of patients and provide general nursing care. Qualifications: Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing school is required. Experience: Minimum of three years of cardiac-vascular nursing experience in an acute care or cardiology clinic setting required.
