Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated Turnaround Planning Specialist to elevate our team! Job Description: The Turnaround Planning Specialist will take the lead in coordinating electrical and instrumentation planning activities for designated outage scopes. This is a contract position with a hybrid work arrangement. Available Locations: Convent, Louisiana; Carson, California; Santa Clara, California; Torrance, California; Pasadena, Texas Working Hours: Monday - Friday; 5/8s during planning phase, 7/12s during Turnaround execution (30 - 45 days). Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage assigned outage scopes through all planning and execution phases. Organize and expedite procurement of materials, ensuring correct parts are available for tasks. Develop and define scopes for work orders during outages, identifying any secondary or support disciplines needed. Create detailed planning activities in Cleopatra software for each work order, utilizing appropriate planning templates including individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned disciplines. Provide daily schedule updates during the execution of the turnaround. Prepare comprehensive job planning packages for work orders for both internal distribution and external communication, including bid events and contractor field personnel. Packages might include visuals, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, and applicable standards. Support Management of Change procedures and maintain accurate documentation. Engage effectively with tradespeople, contractor contacts, and material suppliers. Conduct regular housekeeping inspections to uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization. Travel required up to 25-35% of the year depending on Turnaround occurrences and assignment needs. Qualifications: Required: 7+ years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation package planning. 7+ years of journey-level maintenance experience or E&I maintenance planning. 7+ years of experience in maintenance or engineering disciplines, especially in industrial outages, LV & HV motors, heaters, power distribution equipment, and preventative maintenance on electrical components. Certifications: OSHA and TWIC are required. Able to read and interpret E&I drawings and P&IDs. Proficient in Microsoft Suite, SAP, Primavera P6, and Adobe. Familiarity with process instrumentation (flow, level, pressure, temperature devices). Proven ability to coordinate contractors and enforce safe work practices. Preferred: Experience in preparing and reviewing test/work packages for field issuance. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Physical Demands: Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA and relevant standards. Sedentary work requiring prolonged sitting with occasional movement around the office or site. Some bending, climbing, crawling, lifting, and shift work may be necessary. Ability to perform repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing mouse, keyboard, and monitor. Required Personal Protective Equipment: Hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and flame-resistant clothing. Compensation: $45.00 per hour. The pay range may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with 401k retirement accounts.
