What You'll Do We seek a transformational technical leader who is passionate about solving complex challenges within distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services. You will face significant engineering challenges related to foundational compute services that support the upcoming OCI Cloud and its associated tools and orchestration mechanisms. Your role will involve challenging existing engineering assumptions and pushing boundaries of services established years ago, allowing us to scale to the next generation of cloud technologies. Join us during these exciting times as we expand rapidly and engage in ambitious new initiatives. The Oracle Health team is focused on solution architecture and is looking for a candidate with: 15+ years of experience in delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals. Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and network architectures. Solid understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies. Experience in building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructures is highly desirable. Responsibilities Your primary responsibilities will involve implementing and managing the full service lifecycle of delivery. Utilizing traditional technologies such as Exadata, vSphere, and K8s, you will be shaping modern cloud-first constructs that serve as the cornerstone of our next-generation capabilities including Autonomous Database, OKE, zero-trust tenancy/compartments, OCI LB, and autoscaling compute. The ideal candidate will possess a robust software and systems background, capable of operating at the intersection of distributed applications, compute, networking, databases, and operating systems. Specific responsibilities include: Exhibiting exceptional communication skills and maintaining a technically fearless approach. Demonstrating strong product intuition with the ability to absorb business context and lead engineering culture effectively. The US hiring range for this role is competitive, with salaries ranging from $136,600 to $338,500 per annum, and may include eligibility for bonuses, equity, and compensation deferral.
