Coinbase is on the lookout for experienced backend engineers to join our Advanced Trading team. You will play a crucial role in building and scaling the core systems that power crypto trading at Coinbase. This is an incredible opportunity to work at the intersection of crypto, trading infrastructure, and consumer products, tackling exciting engineering challenges while directly contributing to Coinbase's core business. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain highly performant and available systems for traders worldwide. Architect robust systems that support various instrument types (Spot, Futures, Perpetual Futures, etc.). Collaborate closely with product and design teams to deliver a best-in-class product experience. Transform great ideas into high-value features that our customers will love. What We Seek in You: At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering, especially handling web-scale traffic. Proven track record of designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services through their evolution. A strong commitment to product excellence, driven by customer obsession and comprehensive observability. Supportive of your colleagues, knowing that 'iron sharpens iron.' Pride in staying updated with the latest industry standards and best practices. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with active trading systems or similar high-availability financial systems. Engagement in actively trading crypto or other financial instruments. Experience in rapid company growth from startup to mid-size. Background in upgrading significant parts of legacy systems or re-architecting next-generation versions of existing systems. Familiarity with Golang, MongoDB, Redis, and Snowflake.
