The successful candidate will be an academic visionary with a proven track record of integrating and inspiring academic excellence across all college constituents. This leadership role is pivotal in coordinating and administering district-wide academic operations, pathway programs, and related policies. The Provost will provide overall leadership and vision for academic affairs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in academic and student programs. Essential duties include serving as the chief academic policy, program, and accreditation officer, as well as promoting the college's core values of academic excellence, student success, innovation, integrity, sustainability, and lifelong learning. Candidates for this position should possess strong leadership skills, the ability to manage large-scale transformational change, and a deep commitment to the mission and goals of a comprehensive community college. The role requires a leader who can work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, think creatively, and advocate for the effective use of technology in teaching and learning. A terminal degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with a minimum of ten years of management/leadership experience in educational administration. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead strategic planning, oversee budget management, and effectively allocate resources to advance academic excellence. Experience in fostering academic partnerships, community engagement, and a successful track record with accreditation standards are also key qualifications.
