Job Description: Join CDM Smith as a Construction Project Controls Specialist and take on a vital role in supporting our project delivery teams across various locations in the U.S.! You will be instrumental in developing and managing cost and schedule baselines for projects ranging from basic to moderately complex. Your expertise will be crucial in the following responsibilities: Collecting and analyzing monthly project cost and schedule progress. Identifying project variances and assisting in their analysis. Ensuring updated risk reserves are integrated into financial forecasts. Preparing standardized reports for management. Implementing financial controls, procedures, and forecasting techniques while adhering to safety programs. The ideal candidate will: Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable regulations. Gather project progress information from managers and team members. Evaluate and update project data including schedule dates, physical progress, and resource requirements. Monitor deliverables and expenditures against forecasts. Perform performance reporting using Earned Value Management (EVM). Conduct financial analyses including variance and risk assessments. Document project changes and their impact on baselines. Develop critical path schedules for major projects following contract specifications. Communicate early warning signals and recommend resource adjustments. Prepare internal and client status reports to communicate cost status and trends. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 3 years of related experience, or equivalent directly related experience in lieu of a degree. Travel may be required based on project demands. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in construction projects. Experience in engineering and/or financial industries. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project. Why CDM Smith? Job Site Location: United States - Nationwide Amount of Travel Required: 10% Pay Range Minimum: $78,478 Pay Range Maximum: $129,459 Hybrid Work Options may be considered for the successful candidate.
