Our delivery drivers ensure timely and safe delivery of products, building strong relationships with our valued customers! The CDL-A Driver is tasked with operating a tractor trailer or straight truck on various routes for the delivery and unloading of food and related products, in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Professionally communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers, providing timely and accurate information. Be a team player within the department and organization, performing any assigned duties to best serve the company. Conduct all necessary safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) to inspect the vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Report any safety issues or repair needs immediately. Adhere to all DOT regulations and company driving policies. Promptly report safety hazards and ensure the trailer is properly loaded and secured. Perform count checks of items and review customer invoices for accuracy. Accurately complete and sign all required paperwork associated with freight. Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed. Follow predetermined routes to deliver customer orders. Unload products and transport them into designated storage areas at customers' locations. Conduct damage control checks, scan items, and report any issues according to company policy. Verify delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures. Collect payment (where required) and manage customer returns as needed. Ensure security of tractor, trailer, and freight at all times. Handle damaged goods and complete necessary paperwork for returns. Keep daily records of service hours in compliance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements. Maintain cleanliness of the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers. Secure all equipment at the end of the shift and complete all necessary paperwork. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent 1+ years commercial driving experience Valid CDL-A Must be 21+ years of age Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable) Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check Pass road test Hold or secure a valid current DOT Health Card Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move product cases/freight, typically between 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds at times.
