Please note that while many roles at Coinbase support remote work, in-person engagement is required several times a year for team building and alignment. In this position, you will oversee the strategy and direction of Coinbase's work execution and collaboration platforms, including Jira, Linear, Asana, and Slack. Your mission will be to optimize work planning, communication, tracking, and delivery processes across the organization. You will create a cohesive and efficient system that improves both delivery transparency and focus time, while balancing team autonomy with organizational alignment. Key Responsibilities: Drive the strategy, roadmap, and governance for our collaboration tools, ensuring they function together optimally while enhancing team autonomy and reducing context switching. Collaboratively identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks and communication friction with cross-functional teams through structured discovery, using data-driven metrics to improve effectiveness. Establish a dynamic async collaboration model that enhances the quality of communication while connecting discussions to relevant work artifacts across platforms. Create a center of excellence for collaboration tools, providing clear standards, training, and onboarding resources to streamline team integration with these tools. Lead change management initiatives to facilitate smooth transitions when adopting new tools and processes, supported by clear documentation to assist teams in adapting. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience managing work management and collaboration platforms, encompassing strategy and governance across various methodologies. A solid track record of enhancing team productivity, cycle time, and collaboration effectiveness through strategic tool and workflow enhancements. Experience engaging with diverse roles within an organization to design impactful solutions that align with their workflows. Proven ability to advocate for and drive the adoption of new practices and tools across teams. A data-oriented mindset; adept at defining KPIs and analyzing metrics to present insightful recommendations to leadership. Strong communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation and product requirements that clarify expectations and drive self-service. Bonus Skills: A technical background or familiarity with engineering processes, as well as knowledge of API integrations and workflow automation. Comprehensive experience with Slack administration and automation features. Practical experience with knowledge management platforms and automating processes that enhance team productivity. A successful history of managing collaboration tools for large-scale teams (5,000-10,000+ users) across distributed environments.
