Summary: Join Meta as an innovative Director of Project Controls within our Design Engineering and Construction (DEC) organization! In this essential leadership role, you will oversee a dynamic project controls team dedicated to developing AI-enabling infrastructure, crucial for enhancing our global product ecosystem. You will be instrumental in crafting strategies and implementing project controls for a multi-billion dollar annual CAPEX portfolio, ensuring the on-time and budget-friendly delivery of groundbreaking products. As a leader of skilled cost and schedule experts, you will contribute to the successful execution of Meta's key infrastructure projects. Your role will include proactive risk management, oversight of change and claims management, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting for all infrastructure initiatives. Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams will be vital to fostering strong commercial and schedule reporting, while promoting accountability and continuous improvement within the project controls function. Responsibilities: Lead and inspire a high-performing team of Project Controls Leads and Schedule Leads, focusing on professional growth and team morale. Develop a vision for proactive risk management and fiscal responsibility, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule targets. Provide strategic insight in cross-functional discussions, utilizing project controls data for health and performance assessments. Supervise comprehensive financial and schedule reporting, collaborating closely with planning and engineering teams to consolidate information. Examine data insights and trends to enhance cost and schedule performance, maintaining a thorough understanding of changes, delays, and risks. Serve as the main contact for project controls inquiries from various teams and stakeholders. Foster strong partnerships with General Contractors and Integrator Partners through effective communication and collaboration. Manage the onboarding and training process for new hires, ensuring their successful integration into the team. Be prepared to travel approximately 35% to different Data Center sites and the home office. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and/or real estate development operations. At least 3 years of experience in leading, developing, and mentoring teams. Expertise in cost controls, construction scheduling and planning, cost forecasting, accrual reporting, and commercial management. Proficient in cost control tools such as eBuilder, Procore, Unifier, or similar platforms. Demonstrated ability to present financial and schedule information from multiple sites to executive management. Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of direct field experience is preferable. 3 years of experience in data center or mission-critical design and construction projects. Proven success in managing complex development programs. A strong track record of producing engaging executive communications and reporting.
