What You Will Do as a Dosimetrist As a vital member of the Cancer Care of North Florida team, you'll play an essential role in the treatment of cancer using advanced radiation technology. Your contributions will ensure patient safety through accurate and calibrated radiation delivery. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Designing comprehensive treatment plans that conform to the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription. Understanding and applying contours according to established guidelines. Documenting and verifying plans while considering dose-limiting structures for patient safety. Maintaining effective communication with patients and collaborating with the radiation oncology team. Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of treatment plans and activities. Engaging actively in quality assurance and improvement initiatives. Coordinating with Radiation Therapists on the implementation of treatment plans. Performing detailed calculations to ensure precise delivery of treatment. Participating in clinical research to explore new treatment techniques. Continuously enhancing your knowledge through ongoing education in dosimetry and treatment planning techniques. Qualifications We Are Looking For: 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience preferred. Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist or eligibility for certification. About You: You possess comprehensive knowledge of dosimetry principles and techniques. You can tackle complex projects and contribute to policy development. You innovate solutions that align with organizational objectives. You work independently while also supporting junior colleagues as a mentor. Compensation Information: Anticipated salary range is $94,900 - $157,295. Certain factors may influence compensation, including location, experience, and internal pay equity.
