Senior Marine Claims Specialist

We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Marine Claims Specialist at Zurich North America! This role is suitable for candidates with Hull and Liability experience, and we welcome remote work options for the right individual located within the U.S. In this position, you will: Manage dedicated accounts effectively. Engage frequently with Assureds, Brokers, and Underwriters. Travel may be required occasionally, though infrequently. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of experience in Claims and/or Litigation Management. OR Juris Doctor with 2+ years of experience in Claims and/or Litigation Management. OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an associate degree and 6+ years in Claims and/or Litigation Management. OR Completion of the Zurich Claims Training Program and 6+ years in Claims and/or Litigation Management. OR High School Diploma Equivalent with 8+ years in Claims and/or Litigation Management. Required to obtain and maintain necessary adjuster license(s). Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Understanding of insurance regulations, markets, products, and maritime/admiralty practices. Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience with Marine Hull claims. Expertise in Marine Liability, Hull, Blue water and Brown water claims, Jones Act, General Average, and Ocean Cargo Claims. Licenses required across all necessary states. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Experience in team collaboration and building cross-functional relationships. Proactive in sharing insights and promoting collaboration. Skilled in gathering diverse perspectives to enhance results. Expertise in interpreting complex insurance policy components. Capable of applying reserving processes to evaluate complex claim exposures. Adept at determining scope and exposure for intricate claims. Ability to leverage relationships to deliver outstanding customer service. Experienced in identifying and elucidating complex financial and actuarial trends. Effective in communicating coverage decisions on complex claims. Able to direct legal counsel throughout complex litigation and settlement processes. Your compensation at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience, in accordance with local laws to ensure fair wages. Along with competitive pay, you may be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The salary range for this position is $75,800.00 - $124,100.00, with a 15% short-term incentive bonus potential.
