Role Overview As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining essential material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You'll also have the chance to install, maintain, and repair advanced automated packaging and distribution machinery. Moreover, you will mentor junior technicians, enhancing their growth and skill development. Hiring Process Here’s what to expect during the Amazon RME selection process for Mechatronics & Robotics Technicians (about 30 days): Step 1: Submit your application! Key Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols. Carry out preventative maintenance routines with accurate documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with MHE including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc. Cultivate positive working relationships throughout the facility. Physically capable of moving items up to 49lbs, standing and walking during shifts of up to 12 hours, climbing ladders and gangways safely, as well as performing regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications. Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift, including weekends and holidays. Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program or 2+ years in automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of experience in performing predictive and preventative maintenance. 2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics. 2+ years of experience demonstrating safety standards. 2+ years of experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE. Preferred Qualifications Experience in robotic operation and maintenance. 2+ years of knowledge in electrical and electronic principles. Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical discipline. 2+ years of apprenticeship experience in Mechanical or Electrical fields. Amazon is committed to diversity and equality in the workplace.
