Deliver specialized speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Work in tandem with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to design unified care strategies. Provide education for patients and families to facilitate growth beyond therapy sessions. Occasionally assess and provide speech therapy during inpatient evaluations, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the healing process. Keep thorough and precise documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing learning to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through education and collaboration. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained. Certifications Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills Expertise in implementing evidence-based treatments for all ages while possessing a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
