As the Senior Engineering Manager for Hybrid Services & Reliability (HSR) in the AV Core Infrastructure (ACI) team, you will play a pivotal role in creating system trust and driving the reliability of our hybrid cloud systems crucial for the development and operation of autonomous vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Reliability Engineering: Define, measure, and uphold high SLOs/SLIs for essential hybrid cloud services, including network connectivity and compute readiness. Foundational Utilities: Take ownership of core on-prem utilities (DHCP, PXE, CDN) to ensure smooth server auto-provisioning across our global fleet. Environment Integrity: Oversee the complete data flow path, ensuring secure ingestion from test benches to production staging. HIL Readiness: Maintain 99%+ availability and stability of remote CI-based Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) benches essential for AV safety validation. Organization Growth: Lead recruitment and mentoring efforts for Senior and Staff ICs as we expand our team. What We’re Looking For: Extensive background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with a focus on hybrid cloud environments. Strong technical proficiency in managing on-prem Linux utilities (including DHCP, PXE, NTP) and development services. A proactive approach with defined strategies for automated observability, incident response, and minimizing MTTR. A proven track record in leadership roles. Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Chef, Ansible) for large-scale remote hardware fleets. The salary range for this role is $201,600 to $302,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
