Function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent admissions and discharges. Monitor and administer medications via various methods, including oral, subcutaneous, and IV. Educate patients and their families on surgical processes and management of illnesses/injuries. Utilize specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays for patient care. Understand and interpret telemetry readings, promptly notifying the medical team of any irregularities. Provide care for patients with complex conditions such as pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, and more. Perform nursing duties with a focus on patient-centered care, including starting IVs and drawing blood.
