Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and keen observational insights. Create individualized treatment plans that address both immediate and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver dedicated one-on-one therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication abilities, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, fostering a united approach to patient care. Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate success beyond clinical visits. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to maintain a seamless continuum of care. Ensure precise and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Commit to lifelong learning by keeping abreast of trends and innovations in the field through ongoing education and peer engagement. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary for those not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills Competence in implementing evidence-based treatment modalities for various age groups, coupled with a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities to engage with patients, families, and diverse healthcare teams effectively.
