Schedule12-hour night shifts; 36 hours/week Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevents illness and injury, and alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human responses. The RN advocates for individuals and families while ensuring compliance with nursing practices and standards. Responsibilities Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients. Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management. Utilize knowledge of pharmacology to administer medications safely. Manage productivity and effective resource utilization. Participate in Nursing Shared Governance initiatives and improvement initiatives. Engage in professional development and complete mandatory education. Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing (RN) experience. Current New York State RN License. BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross). Critical care/ICU level experience required. Experience with ventilators and vasoactive and sedative drips preferred. Epic experience preferred.
