We present boundary-pushing, immersive art experiences alongside a state-of-the-art music venue.Our mission is to elevate, fortify, exhibit, and celebrate Pacific Northwest artists while cultivating a safe, inclusive, and community-driven cultural space.Position OverviewEvent Security plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and positive experience of all guests, artists, and staff during concerts and events at Cannonball Arts and LEVEL1.This position requires strong judgment, professionalism, and clear communication in a fast-paced nightlife environment. Ideal candidates are experienced in de-escalation, understand hospitality-forward security practices, and thrive in dynamic settings where safety and guest experience go hand in hand.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide a visible, professional, and welcoming security presence during nduct ID verification, bag checks, and entry management in compliance with venue policies and Washington State regulations.Monitor guest behavior throughout the venue and proactively identify potential safety concerns.Utilize de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts calmly and effectively.Enforce venue policies consistently and fairly.Support Guest Services and Bar teams in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment.Assist with crowd management, perimeter security, and load-in/load-out as needed.Respond appropriately to medical incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations, including plete accurate and timely incident reports.Serve as part of the venues Emergency Response Team and remain knowledgeable about the Emergency Action Plan and procedures.Required QualificationsMinimum 1 year of experience in live music, event, nightclub, or venue securityExperience conducting ID checksStrong de-escalation and conflict resolution skillsReliable, punctual, and professional under pressureMust be 21+ years of ageAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbsAvailability for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedulePreferred QualificationsKnowledge of harm-reduction and inclusive security practicesFormal training in de-escalation and conflict resolutionExperience within the electronic music or nightlife sceneFamiliarity with downtown Seattle and comfort working in urban nightlife environmentsCurrent MAST Permit (or willingness to obtain prior to first shift)CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Success in This Role Looks LikeGuests, artists, and staff feel safe, respected, and welcomePotential issues are identified early and addressed calmly and professionallyPolicies are enforced consistently without escalating conflict unnecessarilyYou demonstrate strong judgment, clear communication, and team alignmentYou contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace cultureEqual Opportunity EmployerCannonball Arts is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
