This specialized unit is located at Monroe Carell Junior Children's Hospital Vanderbilt at Williamson Medical Center, featuring a 10-bed capacity and staffed by highly trained professionals committed to the health and well-being of our young patients. Job Overview: As a Pediatric Inpatient Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive, family-centered care to children admitted for various medical conditions. Your role is crucial to ensuring that each pediatric patient receives the highest quality of care during their hospital stay. Key Responsibilities: Deliver compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' medical needs and monitor their progress. Collaborate with board-certified pediatric hospitalists and child life specialists to design and implement individualized care plans. Effectively communicate treatment plans and procedures to patients and their families, offering emotional support and reassurance. Maintain and enhance competency in hospital and unit-specific procedures. Advocate for the needs and best interests of pediatric patients to ensure they receive appropriate care. Experience Requirements: We prefer candidates with a minimum of one year of pediatric nursing experience.
