Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing observational techniques and standardized assessments. Create individualized treatment plans that respond to both immediate and lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions focusing on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Work collaboratively with an array of professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families to foster an integrated approach to patient care. Provide education and resources to patients and their families, supporting continued progress beyond therapy sessions. Assist with periodic inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of patient care throughout their recovery journey. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with organizational, state, and federal standards. Engage in lifelong learning through continuing education and collaboration with peers in the field. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited higher learning institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if necessary for ASHA certification. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based therapy for all age groups, demonstrating a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired communication, speech, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. A flexible approach to adapting therapy techniques to cater to a spectrum of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong decision-making and clinical judgment skills.
