Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiology Technician Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 03/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, evenings Employment Type: Travel X‑Ray Technician / Radiology Technician Full Job Description Position Summary The X‑Ray Technician / Radiology Technician performs diagnostic imaging procedures to support the accurate diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. This role works collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality imaging services and exceptional patient care. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform all radiologic procedures offered by the department according to established protocols for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Complete all required paperwork, documentation, and computer-based tasks accurately Assist radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other staff with radiological services and patient care Maintain department equipment, facilities, and supplies to ensure safety, efficiency, and comfort for patients and staff Conduct daily equipment checks and maintain appropriate stock of imaging supplies and accessories Keep all supplies clean, organized, and replenished Process and evaluate radiologic images to ensure technical accuracy, appropriate exposure, correct labeling, and proper patient identification Greet patients, verify patient identity, confirm physician orders, and obtain relevant clinical history Transport patients as needed and communicate patient movement to nursing units Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards Apply radiation safety principles and comply with all regulatory standards Support all areas of Radiology including: Plain film imaging Operating room procedures Portable imaging exams Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: Active IA State radiology license ARRT certification BLS 1+ years of experience as a radiology technician Operating Room experience, including: OEC C‑arms Medtronic O‑arms Technical Requirements: Proficiency with: Siemens general radiography systems Carestream portable X‑ray units OEC C‑arm fluoroscopy units Medtronic O‑arm imaging systems Knowledge of radiation safety practices and regulatory compliance Ability to perform plain film, OR imaging, and portable radiographic exams Computer proficiency required Compliance & Professional Standards: Compliance with all applicable radiology practice standards Completion of Amergis competency program (as required) Successful completion of site-specific new‑hire orientation Meets all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements Strong understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written command of the English language Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with supervisors, coworkers, and clinical partners Professional demeanor and commitment to exceptional patient care Benefits: At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs  Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.  About Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc.-Allied Amergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, has connected the nation’s top talent to a variety of healthcare and educational partners since 1988.
