OVERVIEW Alera Group is looking for an Account & Data Analytics Specialist to support the Senior Living team by analyzing insurance and claims data specific to senior housing and healthcare-related risks. This role plays a key part in renewal preparation, stewardship reporting, and client deliverables by translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that support informed decision-making for senior living clients. RESPONSIBILITIES The Account & Data Analytics Specialist main role is to analyze insurance and claims data specific to senior housing and healthcare-related risks. Analyze loss runs for senior living clients, including General Liability, Professional Liability, Workers' Compensation, Auto, EPLI, and Abuse & Molestation exposures. Identify trends related to frequency, severity, resident incidents, and workforce-related claims. Develop multi-year loss summaries, five-year snapshots, and executive-ready visuals for senior living renewals and stewardship meetings. Support total cost of risk analyses and benchmarking relevant to senior housing operations. Prepare standardized loss exhibits, stewardship visuals, and client-facing summaries tailored to senior living audiences. Track endorsements and compile notable policy changes impacting senior living operations, regulatory requirements, and coverage terms. Support policy checking and quality control to ensure accuracy and consistency in client deliverables. Assist with carrier submission materials specific to senior living programs and markets. Support quote comparisons, premium allocation reviews, and audit questions to reduce manual effort for producers and service teams. Partner closely with the Portland-based Senior Living service team to improve analytics workflows and reporting consistency. Identify opportunities to streamline templates, automate recurring analyses, and reduce turnaround time. Support training and knowledge-sharing related to analytics tools, templates, and senior living risk trends. Perform additional duties as needed to support team and practice priorities. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 3 years of insurance industry experience Active Oregon State Agent License required Workers' Compensation experience preferred 2+ years in a similar role preferred Industry certifications and college degree preferred Experience in insurance, healthcare, senior living, or risk management environments. Familiarity with Agency Management Systems (AMS Sagitta preferred). Exposure to loss analytics, stewardship reporting, or renewal support. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret insurance and claims data. Minimum of 1+ year of relevant industry, analytics, or client service experience. College degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This job requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager.
