Salary : $94,889.60 - $115,336.00 Annually Location : Sacramento, CA Job Type: FULL TIME (NON-EXEMPT) Job Number: 3746-2026 Department: SacSewer Opening Date: 03/04/2026 Closing Date: 4/6/2026 5:00 PM Pacific Position Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for a Senior Natural Resource Specialistposition. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM: 3/18/26, 4/6/25 Positions in this series plan, develop and maintain natural resources within the Sacramento Area Sewer District. Activities include but are not limited to all aspects of natural resource management including wetlands development, management, and maintenance, wildlife development and management, habitat and sensitive species mitigation and development. This includes the restoration and enhancement of vegetation management and monitoring of landscape development and maintenance, lease management and security. Incumbents in this class are the lead worker and/or advanced-journey level. Under direction and on a regular and recurring basis incumbent either function in a lead capacity in addition and secondary to their own work and/or require independent development and use of natural resource management techniques and methodologies, provide consultative advice to various District agencies, and often serve as a liaison to regulatory agencies and special interest groups. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in fields such as Biology, Wildlife and Fisheries Biology, Resource Science, Botany, Forestry, Landscape Architecture, or other related studies. AND Three years' experience in natural resource management performing duties relating to wildlife inventory, field data collection and habitat restoration and management. Note: Determination on what is considered a related field is left to the discretion of the hiring manger.
