Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer in Grand Prairie, TX for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role requires 8+ years of C/C++ real-time embedded software experience with hands-on Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) work. You will integrate hardware and software in a lab environment, support real-time embedded systems testing/simulation efforts, and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field 8+ years of real-time embedded software engineering experience Active Secret clearance Hands-on HWIL experience supporting real-time embedded systems using both hardware and software Proficiency in C/C++ (C++11 or higher) for real-time applications Proficiency with Linux systems and real-time operating environments Experience integrating hardware and software Experience in real-time software generation with hands-on experience related to hardware testing and/or embedded systems and/or simulation systems Experience working in cross-discipline/cross-functional teams Ability to work onsite in Dallas/Grand Prairie labs to support integration Preferred Skills MS or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field Ada experience Full software development lifecycle experience Experience with Git, GitLab, and Jira Agile (Scrum) experience Experience integrating closed-loop systems Experience with automated testing frameworks and unit testing Experience with low-level software development/device drivers What You'll Do Develop and integrate real-time embedded software in C/C++ for HWIL environments Perform hands-on HWIL setup support and hardware/software integration in lab settings Support real-time software generation activities tied to hardware testing, embedded systems, and/or simulation systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot integration issues and deliver program objectives Support development activities across the software lifecycle as applicable Work Schedule / Shift Mon-Thu 1st shift (4/10A) onsite at the Grand Prairie, TX (MFC) location Job ID: 20552 "Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
