Molding Senior Lead - 3rd Shift

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Senior Molding Lead - 3rd Shift (10pm to 6:30pm, Sun. - Thur.) for the Byron Center plant.Senior Lead Primary Responsibilities: General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures. Direct molding personnel to ensure orders are produced in a timely fashion and adhere to safety and quality standards in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Must be able to work independently and lead employees within a small group to ensure production schedule and quality standards are met and report issues to supervisor. Perform various data collection functions in PeopleSoft (ERP). Maximize yield and reduce scrap. Report department metrics. Verify order information and produce part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet customer specifications while meeting productivity standards. Senior Production Lead Experience Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred. Prior supervisory/lead experience preferred. Senior Production Lead Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken. Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools. Must be computer literate; Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP systems Senior Production Lead Education, Licenses & Certifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
