Description Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized evaluations and observational methods. Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Administer personalized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to devise cohesive care strategies. Provide education and support to patients and families to encourage progress beyond clinical interactions. Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment journey. Maintain precise and timely documentation compliant with state, federal, and institutional regulations. Commit to staying abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing education and professional collaboration. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Active state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based practice for all age groups, alongside a strong foundation in both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Flexibility in adapting therapy strategies to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic needs.
