Available Title(s): 107M-YN_CS_NPS - Program Assistant Business Title: Registered Student Organizations Program Assistant Employee Type: Classified Position Details: The Opportunity: As the Program Assistant, you will have extensive interaction with students, staff, faculty, parents, community members, and other Washington State University (WSU) departments and campuses to provide accurate information and assistance related to Registered Student Organizations (RSOs). You will receive and verify financial transactions, validate customer information, and monitor, update, and enter accurate data into WSU record-keeping systems. Your responsibilities include processing RSO check requests and Interdepartmental Requisitions and Invoices (IRIs), managing RSO signature cards on an annual basis, handling RSO cash deposits, and serving as the primary point of contact for RSO financial questions. You will also present training PowerPoint sessions to new RSO officers and Residential Education Directors (REDs) and manage the RSO cash box rental program. Additional Information: This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: $3,495 to $4,653 | Range 39 | Steps A - M | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Required Qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience. Demonstrated sensitivity to and experience in effectively working with diverse or multicultural student populations. Preferred Qualifications: Eighteen (18) months of fiscally related work such as bank teller or retail sales clerk. Experience in automated ID systems, card technology, identification cards, OR equivalent education/experience. Experience using automated ID / access control systems or equivalent education/ experience. Experience working with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.). Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
