Chipton-Ross is seeking 60 Assembler (Level B) for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • 6 months or more experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications. • 6 months or more experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English. • 6 months or more experience in an advanced manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field performing work with basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic (air) tools. • 6 months or more experience with structural parts fabrication, assembly processes and procedures. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs routine Production Assembly Operations On Structural And Mechanical Assemblies, Subassemblies And Aircraft Systems, Equipment And Accessories Using Manual Operations. • Install various parts and assemblies such as landing gear, aircraft control surfaces, exterior panels, carpets, blankets, roller trays/ball mats, stowbins, sidewalls, ceiling panels, lavatories, galleys, doors, and seats. • Install various aircraft system components such as tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, and ducts. • Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting). • Carry/Lift up to 35 pounds. • Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals. REQUIRED EDUCATION Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate). WORK HOURS FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT; Must be available to work all shifts based on business needs. PER CLIENT: Candidates who do not have the flexibility to work all shifts or variable shifts should not apply for this opportunity. ADDITIONAL: Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment OJT or formal classroom training. 8-10 Weeks of Training, 3 failed assessments results in release.
