The Division of Community Correction is recruiting for a Corrections Communications Supervisor. This position will be working in the Monitoring Center at 3099 E. Washington Ave., Madison, WI. Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Monitoring Center Corrections Communication Supervisor, this position is responsible for the shift supervision of the Electronic Monitoring Center, a 24/7 statewide center operation, including electronic monitoring and law enforcement communications (888#). Electronic systems track offender movements and contain confidential and detailed information on offenders under federal, state, and county monitoring programs. The process and system of electronic monitoring requires a unique, complex response defined by the level and behavior of the offender involved. The shift supervisor is required to respond to network emergencies to avoid prolonged network downtime. A person in this position must be available to work various shifts. Salary Information This position is in pay schedule/range 81-04 with an annual salary of $44241 - $78665, plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the State Compensation Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes. A twelve-month probationary period is required. Qualifications The qualifications listed below will be evaluated in the first step of the selection process and must be clearly described in the letter of qualification and resume : Minimally qualified applicants will have experience in all of the following: Supervisory experience or techniques (i.e., reviewing work of others, training, orienting new employees, assigning work of others, establishing operating procedures, etc.) Experience in providing technical assistance, information and direction to employees, public, management to assure compliance and conformance to procedural standards. Experience using various computer software programs, monitoring and responding to real time activity in a database environment; compiling and formatting information and raw data into reports.
