As a Radiology Technician, you will perform essential clinical and administrative tasks in accordance with our policies and procedures. Working under the supervision of a physician, you'll engage in patient intake, laboratory testing, and procedure follow-up while contributing to a seamless patient experience. Key Responsibilities: Help achieve departmental goals while adhering to quality and safety standards. Comply with MedStar Health's Code of Conduct and complete required training in safety, infection control, and more. Maintain equipment cleanliness and prepare patient rooms diligently for care delivery. Deliver patient care with a focus on safety, quality, and comfort. Utilize new technologies, including electronic health records, to enhance patient care. Communicate proactively with patients and families to manage patient flow effectively. Conduct various patient tests and under supervision, provide general patient care. Perform venipuncture and assist with laboratory testing procedures as needed. Execute X-ray procedures as ordered, sending images for review by radiologists and maintaining equipment safety standards. Foster a respectful atmosphere for patients, families, and colleagues alike. Encourage patient loyalty by providing exceptional care consistent with MedStar's mission and values. Assist in the discharge process, ensuring clear communication with patients and family members. Support new initiatives and seek ways to improve the overall patient experience. Offer assistance to team members during busy periods to ensure efficient processing. Provide timely follow-up on lab results and patient experience experiences professionally. Prepare and administer medications as directed after demonstrating appropriate competencies. Engage in quality improvement efforts within multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications: Education: Associate’s degree and completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program. Experience: Experience in a medical setting, preferably 1-2 years in a medical office. Licenses and Certifications: ARRT certification, a Maryland, Virginia, or DC state license for medical radiation, and CPR certification required. Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated clinical competency and excellent customer service skills. Strong computer and electronic medical record skills. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. This position offers a competitive hiring range of USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 per hour.
