Job Title: Financial Reporting & Accounting Analyst (Contract)Location: Princeton, NJ Area (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)Duration: Immediate start through July We are seeking a Financial Reporting & Accounting Analyst for a temporary engagement supporting the accounting and finance team. This role will focus on financial statement preparation, general ledger reconciliations, and treasury-related activities while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and external reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post monthly journal entries for various GL accounts, including external debt, hedges, and pension activity Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP Perform reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts Support internal and external audit requests to ensure audits remain on track Assist with daily cash operations, liquidity planning, and short-term borrowing or investment activities Coordinate with lenders to ensure interest and related payments are completed on time Conduct technical accounting research, including implementation of new accounting standards and evaluation of complex transactions Provide support on special projects and other accounting tasks as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience Public accounting experience preferred Skills & Experience Strong understanding of basic and intermediate accounting principles and US GAAP Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information Experience with financial systems such as JDE (ERP) and Workiva is a plus Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal controls This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking a hands-on financial reporting role in a collaborative environment while supporting a team during a temporary leave coverage.Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
