The Role We are looking for a dynamic Senior Director of Collaboration Security Sales to lead and expand our rapidly growing team. In this pivotal role, you will guide a dedicated sales team in identifying, developing, and retaining top talent to achieve consistent revenue growth. Your hands-on involvement will allow you to directly participate in closing deals with key accounts while establishing and reviewing essential sales metrics and programs. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Product Marketing, and Field Marketing teams to support the Collaboration Security business unit through product requirements, market strategies, planning for expansion, and creating targeted sales campaigns with measurable outcomes. This position offers flexibility in location within the US. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include: Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans that significantly enhance revenue from Collaboration Security product lines. Lead a team of dedicated sales specialists, fostering their growth and performance. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and internal field sales leaders. Create and execute innovative strategies to expand our customer base, working collaboratively with international teams to share best practices. Drive a go-to-market plan with the field sales organization and BDR teams to increase pipeline and revenue. Partner with various departments including Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Marketing, and Support to close deals and boost revenue. Maintain an accurate business forecast, supporting team engagement and adherence to the MEDDICC process. What You Bring to the Team: Proven experience in leading high-performing sales teams across diverse geographic regions. Prior experience managing a sales team in a matrix environment. Strong understanding of technologies and trends in email security. Established industry contacts among prospective customers and influencers. Exceptional consultative selling skills with a clear ability to articulate the company's value proposition. Strong business acumen with the talent to create business plans, nurture pipelines, and forecast accurately. Experience in developing marketing-driven demand generation plans. Confidence to collaborate with field AVPs on set goals for pipeline and overall business success. A comprehension of the significance of specialist roles in delivering strategic field enablement and technical support. Outstanding communication skills with a capacity to engage effectively with customers at all levels, including product demonstrations. Why Proofpoint?
