Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric age groups using a combination of standardized assessments and observational methodologies. Craft tailored treatment plans aimed at achieving both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing advancements. Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing function. Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to build seamless care strategies. Provide education for patients and their families to foster progress outside of therapy sessions. Assist with some inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring ongoing care throughout the treatment process. Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational standards. Remain informed of the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for a broad age range, alongside a deep understanding of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
