As a Senior Risk Management Analyst on the Payments Risk Analytics team, you will take charge of identifying and mitigating payment fraud risks associated with our critical payment systems while maintaining essential metrics and enhancing customer experience. This role reports to the Manager of Cards and Mobile Payments and is based remotely in the United States. Key Responsibilities: Detect, analyze, and mitigate fraudulent purchase and deposit activities. Implement strategies targeting bad actors and high-risk behaviors related to unauthorized purchasing across various regions. Evaluate fraud performance across payment methods and develop essential metrics. Proactively identify and address gaps in our monitoring processes. Manage risk controls comprehensively and enhance processes to ensure adequate coverage as our business expands. Oversee reporting processes and maintain communication with relevant banking partners. Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Product, Growth, Data Science, and Engineering to develop and implement customized risk management strategies across different regions. Utilize data to assess risks and make informed decisions impacting large segments of our customer base, while measuring and analyzing tradeoffs using quantitative data. Transform data insights into compelling narratives and communicate your findings to Payments Risk leadership. Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant experience in risk analytics. 3+ years of experience combating fraud in Cards and Mobile Payments within e-commerce or financial services. 3+ years of data analysis experience, including database interaction and querying (e.g., SQL, MySQL). Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Math, Stats, Physics, or Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience. Advanced proficiency in SQL. Skilled in business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Superset). A passion for combating fraud and a proactive approach to investigation and pattern recognition. Proven ability to independently define and complete analytical projects while working cross-functionally with teams in Product, Data Science, and Engineering. Additional Preferences: Experience in mitigating risk related to credit/debit card issuance. Thorough understanding of mobile payments. Experience using AI tools like cursor, glean, or copilot. Advanced knowledge of Python programming. Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position can vary based on location, with figures ranging from $167,280 to $196,800 USD. Total compensation may also include equity, bonuses, and various benefits (such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
