This position has excellent potential for career advancement including developing and leading a water/wastewater engineering practice in the region. This candidate will be responsible for delivering all project objectives for assigned projects including; scope, schedule and budget. The candidate will be expected to coordinate with clients, contractors, outside consultants, government agencies and internal staff.In addition to the technical and project management skills, the successful candidate will have experience with and the desire to fully understand the business side of the practice including; business development, client management, financial performance, staff development, and overseeing the quality of our products and services.Essential Functions and Responsibilities Monitors schedules, budgets, accounts receivable and manpower requirements and prepares invoices.Develop Project Management plans for assigned projectsEstablish project pricing and budgetsCreate and maintain project schedulesDevelop and maintain project specific quality plansDevelop and coordinate project scopeManage sub-consultantsParticipate in client presentationOversee and manage assigned staff working on projectManage all technical resources on the project teamDevelopment of extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposalsCoordinate and assist Section Heads, Office Managers, and Practice Leaders with marketing proposals Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Required Experience Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering programProfessional Engineer License (Florida or ability to obtain through reciprocity preferred)14+ years’ experience in Water/Wastewater EngineerExperience working with Florida based clients at the city, county and state levelProject management and business development experienceExperience managing multidiscipline project teams Working ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
