Your Role: In this pivotal position, you will engage in various activities, including the development of innovative internal knowledge, AI and machine learning model creation, supporting client interactions, and prototype development. Your statistical, machine learning, and AI expertise will help address complex client challenges while enhancing McKinsey's scientific AI offerings. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure statistical integrity in analytics and AI/ML models, effectively communicating results to senior stakeholders. Your coding skills will help advance our Data Science Toolbox and standardize analytical methodologies for future use. You'll be part of a global scientific AI team focused on utilizing AI in therapeutics, chemicals, and materials, which includes small molecules, proteins, mRNA, and polymers. Additionally, you will support the data science manager in creating a roadmap of assets for cell-level initiatives, delivering valuable insights and capabilities to our clients. Demonstrated experience in client delivery with direct communication. Proven application of machine learning techniques to solve business problems. Capability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong programming skills in Python (with R, C++ as a bonus) and usage of relevant analytics libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn). Familiarity with version control systems (GitHub). Experience with diverse ML techniques, including Bayesian statistics, optimization, and deep learning. Ability to produce production-level code using object-oriented programming.
