Clinical Social Worker

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is excited to announce an opening for the position of Clinical Social Worker. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist patients with complex social, cultural, or clinical needs through comprehensive psychosocial assessments and coordinated care planning. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide treatment recommendations under the guidance of the Senior Clinical Social Worker. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to develop a cohesive plan of care. Engage with patients and their families to navigate social, psychological, financial, and behavioral challenges in order to ensure adherence to treatment plans. Support Case Managers and Senior Clinical Social Workers in addressing complex social situations. Advocate for patients to ensure access to necessary post-acute care services. Assist uninsured patients in finding available resources and working with agencies for financial support. Serve as a resource for staff regarding social and cultural topics. Provide emotional support and education to team members. Experience Requirements: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in social work is essential. Familiarity with regulatory requirements. Strong problem-solving and conflict mediation skills. Able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within a healthcare setting. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus. Education Requirements: A Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work are required. Experience in an acute care hospital setting is mandatory for non-UAE nationals. A current national license is required. Physical Demands: High manual dexterity to perform computer functions and operate office equipment. Normal or corrected vision and hearing. Mobility to interact with various departments and lift up to 30 lbs.
