Requisition ID: 43944BR Business Unit: NAU Job Description: Join CDM Smith in an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead transportation planning projects within our expanding South Carolina Transportation group. Your expertise will be vital as you manage multi-modal work assignments that align with our clients' objectives. In this role, you will: Act as Senior Project Manager for transportation planning projects covering Feasibility Studies, Long Range Transportation Plans, Corridor Studies, PEL Studies, Corridor Management Plans, and NEPA Analysis. Collaborate with talented staff to strengthen our transportation and transit planning capabilities across South Carolina. Lead the development of comprehensive project scopes, schedules, and budgets while ensuring effective monitoring and control of project performance. Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives to expand our client network and increase project opportunities with transportation agencies. This position can be based in any of our South Carolina offices, including Greenville, Columbia, or North Charleston. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 10 years of relevant experience. PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA certification required (to be obtained within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list). Domestic and/or international travel may be required based on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience may substitute for a degree. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, transportation planning/engineering, urban and regional planning, or a related field. At least 15 years of experience in transportation or transit planning. PE License or AICP certification. Experience managing transit, transportation, or multi-modal projects. Experience with proposal processes and client presentations in the transportation sector. Strong communication and presentation skills. Proven project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and quality assurance, with familiarity in project management software and financial principles.
