Sorting Room Worker (3499)

Sorting Room Worker Salary Range: $14.55 Hourly Category: Store Sorting Room Worker Schedule/Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 10am to 6pm, (20 hours per week) This position is responsible for: Receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area. Key Responsibilities: Sort and inspect donated clothing, shoes, and household goods by category and condition. Price, tag, and prepare suitable items for store display. Handle unsellable items by discarding or baling them according to guidelines. Move and organize items in storage or display areas. Maintain a clean and safe sorting area at all times. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to communicate the English language. Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy objects (25-50 lbs.). Moderate mobility: duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Distance of travel is usually within the same building.
