Job Description Join our dynamic healthcare organization as a Consulting Actuary, where your expertise will be essential in transforming care delivery through strategic and data-driven insights. You will lead critical initiatives that significantly enhance patient outcomes and drive business performance, whether by creating innovative insurance products, refining pricing strategies, or analyzing advanced care management models. Your contributions will be vital in supporting our organizational goals by providing clear, actionable analyses that guide executive decision-making. You will conduct competitive benchmarking and identify new risks and opportunities in the ever-changing healthcare environment. This position is perfect for a proactive actuary passionate about leveraging their skills to improve the affordability, accessibility, and quality of healthcare services. What You'll Do Lead and complete complex actuarial and analytical projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery. Provide strategic thought leadership to enhance processes, minimize risks, and achieve departmental and enterprise goals for profitable growth and improved value, quality, and access for our customers. Meet segment financial targets and articulate clear explanations of results and variances; serve as a financial steward for the company. Effectively communicate with all organizational levels, including Divisional Leadership. Manage relationships with external partners, including vendors, regulators, and healthcare providers, facilitating effective contract negotiations. Develop and nurture strong business relationships with internal partners, serving as a trusted advisor through your expertise and support. Stay updated with continuing education standards to maintain thought leadership and actuarial credentials. What You Bring Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (as applicable). Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. Minimum of 7 years of relevant actuarial experience; related experience may be considered. If not a Fellow, candidates with an ASA designation and at least 9 years of relevant actuarial experience will be considered. Bonus Points Experience in Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment is highly preferred. Salary Range At our organization, we are committed to providing a fair and equitable compensation package that is reflective of the market. Our starting salaries typically align with the middle of the range listed, and decisions are based on experience, training, specialized skills, certifications, and organizational needs. The base salary is part of a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits/wellness programs.
