Job Description

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a skilled CT Technologist. This part-time PRN role involves operating advanced diagnostic imaging equipment to assist in medical diagnosis and treatment with professionalism and compassion. Job Summary As a CT Technologist, you will produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts, maintain accurate records, and communicate findings effectively with healthcare providers. Your role includes patient positioning, instructing on breathing techniques, and selecting appropriate technical factors tailored to patient needs. Responsibilities Provide prompt and compassionate care to every patient encountered. Operate X-Ray and CT equipment following health and safety regulations and departmental protocols. Perform clerical duties such as patient reception, documentation, charging, and exam sign-out. Assist with patient scheduling for various imaging modalities including Mammography, MRI, and Ultrasound. Maintain sterile techniques to prevent contamination. Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs. Ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Attend departmental meetings and contribute to infection control by maintaining cleanliness of exam rooms. Enter patient information into Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and support special projects as assigned. Education and Experience Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required. At least one year of radiologic technologist experience is preferred. Licenses and Certifications Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent registry as a Radiologic Technologist and CT Technologist is required within one year of hire. Current and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist Certification through the state Department of Health. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required. Skills and Abilities Comprehensive knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and maintenance. Ability to adapt exams to patient needs and resolve issues effectively. Understanding of age-specific growth, development, and life stages to tailor patient care. Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office, PACS, and RIS software. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and team members. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work on-call shifts as assigned. Work Environment This position offers 12-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek schedule. The role is based in a regional healthcare setting in the Pacific Northwest, providing access to a variety of outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, and nature viewing.
