Industry Insurance Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking an experienced Actuary to enhance its actuarial team, focusing on asset-intensive products. In this pivotal role, you will lead quarterly valuations and annual assumption reviews, provide support for financial reporting, planning, and regulatory filings, and conduct thorough experience studies for life and annuity products. Your responsibilities will include reviewing cash-flow projections, assisting with actuarial controls and governance documentation, and managing monthly reinsurance settlements. We are looking for a candidates who holds a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and is an FSA (or equivalent) with approximately 7 years of post-fellowship experience, specifically in annuity reinsurance and asset modeling. Successful applicants will have strong engagement skills with external auditors and actuaries and will be expected to contribute to various additional projects as necessary. Proficiency with MG-ALFA is essential, and programming/automation skills will be advantageous. A comprehensive understanding of US GAAP/Stat, tax, and solvency frameworks is required. Strong communication, multitasking, and leadership abilities are essential in a fast-paced work environment.
