We are looking for motivated individuals who embody our core values of empathy, accountability, collaboration, growth, and inclusion to supervise multiple teams of examiners and technical staff handling liability claims. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: You will oversee claim operations, monitor workloads, provide training, and ensure quality adjudication of claims. OFFICE LOCATION: This position is hybrid for candidates within 25 miles of a Sedgwick office. Those outside this radius may be eligible for a fully remote work arrangement. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: Supervise multiple teams of examiners and technical staff, ensuring effective delegation of duties. Identify trends and advise management on issues and process improvements. Provide technical direction on claims adjudication. Review management reports and take necessary actions. Conduct quality reviews of claims to ensure compliance with standards. Serve as a second level of appeal for client and claimant issues. Review reserve amounts on high-cost claims. Monitor third party and sensitive claims as determined by the client. Maintain professional relationships with clients, providing recommendations based on claim status. Ensure direct reports are properly licensed in serviced jurisdictions. Verify accurate coding and documentation of claims files. Undertake additional duties as assigned and support the organization's quality programs. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer personnel policies and adhere to staffing standards. Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and establish performance development plans. Provide support and motivation to maximize team performance. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Licensing: Preferred Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Required licenses and professional certifications as applicable to your line of business. Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of claims experience, including three (3) years in a supervisory role. As per legal requirements, Sedgwick offers a reasonable compensation range for roles in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency.
