Night shift hospital role focused on adult acute care and critical care ventilator management. Job Details Location: Austin, TX 78705 (Austin respiratory therapist / Texas travel RT) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1120 - $1200 per week Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel respiratory therapist) Setting: Hospital - Central and West Texas Division (acute care / hospital respiratory therapy) Shift: 12-hour nights (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Rotating, 4 weekend shifts per month Start Date: March 16, 2026 End Date: June 8, 2026 On-Site Position: Yes Job Requirements / Qualifications Active RRT certification (Registered Respiratory Therapist) Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care hospital setting Experience with adult respiratory care required; adult critical care/ICU or Emergency Department experience preferred Proficiency with GE ventilators, V60 BiPAP units, and Airvo high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) equipment Familiarity with Meditech EMR is a plus (EMR documentation experience valued) Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams - physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals Compliance with hospital dress code: olive green tops and black pants Responsibilities Deliver high-quality respiratory care to adult patients in a hospital setting (respiratory therapist jobs: ventilator management, airway support) Perform standard RT procedures, including nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy (CPT), arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, ventilator management, inhaled nitric oxide therapy, and bronchoscopy/intubation assistance Provide transport and monitoring for patients on mechanical ventilation within the hospital (CT/MRI transport) Support adult critical care and emergency department teams as needed for complex respiratory cases Document patient care and procedures accurately and promptly in the EMR (Meditech experience preferred) Participate in rotating weekend shifts and cover assigned clinical schedules Why Austin?
