Benefits, Health Ins., 401k Plan, Incentive Plan Salary commensurate with Experience Job Description Ensure Import / Export Transactions comply with U.S. Government Regulations under Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS), Schedule B classifications and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) Sound Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Codes, metal import experience, steel licensing, exclusions preferred Strong FDA Experience Tracking of inbound shipments with Shipping Lines/Airlines Must have full understanding of LTL/TL carriers and Delivery Orders Provide clientele with daily updates Knowledge of ISF Filing procedures Recognize routine and non-routine transactions for elevating discrepancies Negotiate rates with carriers and quote clients Job Requirements Candidate must have at least 4 years of experience with Customs Broker/NVOCC or Freight Forwarder in Import Department Candidate must have strong classification skills across a wide variety of commodities, strong ADD/CVD/FDA experience preferred and excellent communication skills Seeking an energetic, motivated person who can handle fast pace industry with demanding clientele. Person must be detail oriented and very organized.
