Perform pediatric dental examinations, assessments, and diagnoses using detailed medical and dental histories, clinical examinations, and appropriate imaging techniques. Deliver a wide range of dental treatments including preventive care, restorations, pulp therapy, dental extractions, and space maintainers tailored to pediatric patients. Conduct oral surgery procedures such as tooth extractions and minor surgical interventions with precision and aseptic technique. Utilize advanced dental technology and imaging tools to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning. Apply comprehensive infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations and industry standards to safeguard patient health. Maintain thorough medical records and document all procedures clearly using dental terminology and medical documentation best practices. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that prioritize patient comfort and safety. Engage in four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during procedures while maintaining high-quality patient care. Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene practices, preventive measures, and post-treatment care to promote ongoing oral health. Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and related fields through continuous education and professional development. Proven experience in pediatric dentistry with a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to childrens health. Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft, Dolphin or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes. Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontics procedures, and other general dentistry treatments specific to pediatric patients. Expertise in infection control practices, aseptic technique, medical imaging interpretation, and the use of dental fabrication tools. Ability to assess patient needs accurately through patient assessment techniques while demonstrating excellent patient care skills. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of medical records and compliance with privacy standards. Strong communication skills to effectively educate young patients and their families about oral health practices. Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with a focus on pediatric populations is highly preferred.
