A school district in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a skilled Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate contract assignment. This role involves providing essential speech and language support to preschool students, collaborating with the Preschool Assessment Team, and working within Mild Moderate 1-2 Special Day Classes (SDC). The position requires a dedicated professional comfortable working five days a week in an educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to preschool children. Participate actively in the Preschool Assessment Team to evaluate and identify students' communication needs. Support students in Mild Moderate 1-2 SDC classrooms through targeted interventions and progress monitoring. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective IEP goals. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and federal guidelines. Desired Qualifications: Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist credential or certification. Experience working with preschool and special education populations in schools. Strong assessment, evaluation, and communication skills. Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Collaborative approach and commitment to student growth.
