A demanding role for a skilled Registered Nurse with specialized expertise in cardiovascular and electrophysiology care is available for a contract position in Middletown, DE. This opportunity requires hands-on nursing proficiency within high-acuity environments such as Cath Labs, CVICU, ICU, or Intermediate Care, focusing on advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac, neurological, and electrophysiology procedures. Key Responsibilities: Prepare procedure rooms and patients for complex cardiovascular and electrophysiology lab interventions. Assist physicians during procedures including cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, device implantations, and neuro-interventional operations. Monitor and assess patients pre- and post-procedure, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation. Administer procedural sedation according to protocols. Participate actively in safety protocols including Full Stop/Time Out processes. Maintain expert use of cardiology equipment including 3D mapping systems and intra-cardiac ultrasound. Support new staff through preceptorship and demonstrate ongoing commitment to professional development and certification maintenance. Qualifications & Experience: Nursing degree (Associate or Bachelor's) from an accredited program; Bachelor's preferred. Registered Nurse license with current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Proven experience in ICU, CVICU, IMC, or Cath Lab environments; prior work in cardiovascular and electrophysiology labs strongly preferred. New graduates and Med/Surg-only experience candidates will not be considered.
