An immediate opening is available for a Registered Nurse with ICU experience to provide critical care in a hospital setting through a contract position. This role supports patient care needs within a respected two-campus medical system offering comprehensive healthcare services. Location: Dayton, Tennessee, with assignments at nearby Athens and Etowah campuses. Candidates must be willing to travel or relocate if over 60 miles away. Orientation sessions take place bi-weekly on Mondays. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized nursing care to ICU patients, monitoring and responding to acute health conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Utilize critical thinking in fast-paced environments to ensure patient safety and support recovery. Document patient status accurately and maintain compliance with healthcare standards. Adhere to all required certifications and state regulations for clinical staff assignments. Qualifications / Desired Experience: Valid RN license with ICU nursing experience. Required certifications as outlined by facility protocols (please refer to the latest clinical certification checklist). Prior experience in acute care or critical care environments preferable. Compliance with Tennessee Abuse Registry screening is mandatory. Ability to quickly adapt to electronic medical record systems and team workflows. About the Location: The hospital system serves the community with acute care at its main campus, including emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services, while the second campus features emergency services, a skilled nursing and long-term care facility, geriatric behavioral health, and advanced wound care programs.
